All the recordings are nominated for the ICMA
All the CD productions with Dimitri Kitaenko released between November 2014 and October 2015 have been nominated for the International Classical Music Awards 2016. There is the Tchaikovsky-Edition from Oehms Classics with the complete symphonies und various orchestral works (Category 'Best Collection') as well as the recording of Tchaikovsky's opera 'Iolanta' (with O. Golovneva, A. Vinogradov, A. Bondarenko and the Gürzenich Orchestra of Cologne).
The last two CDs from the Rachmaninov-Edition with the Second Symphony and the Vocalise as well as the Third Symphony and the Symphonic Dances (also with the Gürzenich Orchestra and available from OehmsClassics) have been nominated in the category 'Symphonic Music'. Finally, the Melodiya box Treasures with music by Grieg, Respighi, Puccini, Brahms, Strauss, Tchaikovsky etc., played by the Moscow Philharmonic, is part of the nominations in the Historical category. For the 2016 awards the ICMA Jury has nominated 364 audio and video productions. The winner list will be published in January 2016. The Award Ceremony and Gala concert will take place in San Sebastián on the 1st of April, with the Euskadi Symphony Orchestra.
